Who's Eligible?

All Pelham Skate School & Aspire Academy Skaters, Pelham Hockey Skaters, and Birmingham Figure Skating Club Skaters (with the exception of Pro Coaches)

Participation Fee

$195 for Group Numbers. Register for your group number online under the Christmas Show section as Christmas Show LTS / Aspire Skaters. 

$25 per skater for participation in a solo, duet, or trio. All skaters must perform in a group number, be a Pelham Skate School Junior Coach, or be a member of the Pelham Synchronized Skating Team who has passed the preliminary free skate test or higher level to be considered for duet or trio. All skaters must perform in a group number or be a member of the Pelham Synchronized Skating Team and have passed the Juvenile free skate test or higher level to be considered for a solo. Exceptions may be made at the coaching staff's discretion for skaters who are ready to pass their test and are planning on testing at the next Birmingham Figure Skating Club Test Session.

Fee Includes

• Choreography for group numbers

• One (1) free parent credential to the show for a parent/guardian

Solos, Duets, and Trios

Only Birmingham Figure Skating Club skaters and Pelham Skate School & Aspire Academy Junior Coaches at the Preliminary level and higher (or the equivalent in hockey) are eligible to apply for a duet or trio, and only Birmingham Figure Skating Club skaters and Pelham Skate School & Aspire Academy Junior Coaches at the Juvenile level and higher are eligible to apply for a solo spot.  Skaters who are interested in skating a solo, duet, or trio must first register for the group number in our registration platform in the section entitled Christmas Show as a Christmas Show Club Skaters and then submit an application. Solos, Duets, and Trio applications must be submitted with the approval of a Pro Coach who has agreed to choreograph and coach the number. Practices must take place during BFSC Freestyle time, and skaters are responsible for paying the Pro Coach for coaching and choreography, along with BFSC Freestyle Ice time. Practice time for Solos, Duets, and Trios will also be held on Saturday mornings on 12/2 and 12/9 from 11:15 - 12:15 p.m. Costumes that need to be ordered by the Pelham Skate School & Aspire Academy for solos, duets, and trios will also incur an additional costume fee. Skaters are welcome to order their own costumes or use costumes from our expansive costume closet. All costumes must be approved by the Director of Skating and the solo, duet, or trio coach. To apply for a Solo, Duet, or Trio, please fill out the Solo, Duet, or Trio Form after you receive approval from the Pro Coach who has agreed to choreograph and coach your number.

Missed Rehearsals

Because rehearsal times are limited, we ask that each skater only miss ONE rehearsal at most and be early for each practice as we will start immediately when practice time starts. Due to each holiday number being different, skaters cannot make up missed Christmas Show rehearsals. 

Dress Rehearsal

Dress Rehearsal is on Saturday, December 16, 2023. Dress Rehearsal will be held in the Main Arena from 9:00 a.m. to 1:00 p.m. Please plan on being present during the entirety of the Dress Rehearsal. Dress Rehearsal is NOT OPTIONAL and is REQUIRED to skate in the show. Skaters must be in full costume for the Dress Rehearsal. 

Costume Fittings

Costume Fittings will be held November 6, 7, 9, 10 from 5:00 p.m. to 7:30 pm and November 11 from 9:30 am to 11:30 am.   

Photography

Group and Individual photos will be taken when costumes come in. Dates will be provided soon. Skaters can have show-ready hair and makeup if desired for group and individual photos. Action shots will be taken on dress rehearsal day, so skaters must be in full costume with hair and makeup done for the Dress Rehearsal.
